At Cold Chamber Memmingen
From arriving to the warm drink afterwards: this is how your visit to Cold Chamber Memmingen works – personally guided, unhurried and with time for questions.
At Cold Chamber Memmingen your body is exposed to dry cold of up to -110 °C for about three minutes. Our eddy-current cooling (Cyclon) moves the cold air evenly so that it flows around your body.
That may sound extreme at first – but the session itself is short, dry and clearly structured. From your arrival until after the session we guide you through the entire process.

Process
Including the briefing, changing and a short talk afterwards, the first visit takes around 20 minutes. Regular guests are usually on their way again within a quarter of an hour – the chamber is ready for you, so there are no waiting times.
Arrival & briefing
Before your first session we calmly explain the process and answer your questions. Together we also go through the most important notes for using the cold chamber.
Getting ready
For the session you wear swimwear plus a hat, gloves, socks and a mouth-nose cover. Jewellery and piercings are removed or covered accordingly.
Important: your skin should be dry and free of creams or oils.
3 minutes at -110 °C
You enter the cold chamber and spend about three minutes there in dry cold of up to -110 °C.
The Cyclon eddy-current cooling moves the cold air inside the chamber so that it flows evenly around your body.
Step out & feel it
After just a few minutes the session is already over. You leave the chamber, get dressed and can observe how your body reacts to the intense cold stimulus.
Many people experience a distinct feeling of warmth, freshness or activation right afterwards.
Only 180 seconds
The session lasts only about three minutes. Because the cold is dry, it feels different from damp winter cold. The eddy-current cooling additionally moves the air inside the chamber.

Before your appointment
You don't need much – the essentials are ready for you here. This short list helps you arrive relaxed.
Recommendation: 2-3x/week for the fastest possible effect · Don't eat anything 1.5h before and after the session
Good to know
We're happy to explain this in person on site as well – summarised here is what happens during the three minutes and afterwards.
Session lasting 3 minutes of dry cold at -110°C.
The difference: whole-body cryotherapy with eddy-current cooling (Cyclon) that circulates the cold air evenly around the body.
The cold penetrates about 1mm into the skin and stimulates the nerve endings – including the vagus nerve, which runs along the cervical spine, is positively stimulated by the cold.
The stimulus on the skin travels to the brain and can trigger the positive effects.
Dry cold in general triggers the release of adrenaline and the happiness hormone dopamine, as well as corticoids, for regeneration.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides can gradually normalize.
Even after the very first session you feel better, more at ease – a true mood booster. Already inside the cold chamber you can sense something happening in your body, and afterwards you feel reborn – an indescribable tingling on the skin, a feeling of warmth and a wonderful sense of relaxation follow.
