First, you will have a detailed briefing with our trained staff. You will change into appropriate attire: swimwear or shorts, and we provide gloves, socks, shoes, and a headband to protect your extremities and ears. You will then enter a pre-chamber, typically set to around -60 °C, for about 30 seconds. This helps your body begin to acclimatise before you step into the main chamber.
The main chamber is at -110 °C. You will spend about three minutes inside, during which you should walk slowly and breathe normally. The cold is intense but, because it is so dry, it is generally well tolerated. You will feel a prickling sensation on your skin as the cold receptors react.
