We will then guide you to a changing room where you will change into appropriate attire: swimwear or comfortable shorts and a top. The session itself is brief, lasting only around three minutes. You first step into a pre-chamber set to a milder -60 °C for about 30 seconds to acclimatise, before moving into the main chamber at -110 °C. The cold is intense but, because the air has virtually no moisture, it is not the biting, uncomfortable cold you might imagine.
